​Winners of Strelka Scholarship Programme Announced

Strelka Institute has selected three applicants who will be awarded grants to enroll in Advanced Urban Design, Strelka’s first joint Master’s programme organized together with the HSE Graduate School of Urbanism. The grants will be provided to three winning applicants who demonstrated promising potential for reaching high academic results or had previous achievements in the field of urbanism. The awarded grants will fully cover the tuition fees.

The winners are:
Ernests Sveisbergs, 24, Latvia
Architect, graduate of RISEBA business school, assistant curator at the Baltic Pavilion at 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale.
Larisa Koroleva, 27, Novosibirsk, Russia
Architect, graduate of Sibir Federal University, worked at Sergey Kiselev & Partners architectural bureau.
Yekaterina Zarudnaya, 32, Vladivostok, Russia
Graduate of Far Eastern State Technical University, works at Giprospecgaz, has 4 years of work experience in China.
The winners of the contest have been selected by the Grants Committee consisting of architectural critic and Strelka KB partner Grigory Revzin, HSE University Dean Alexey Novikov, Advanced Urban Design programme tutor and Vienna Academy of Fine Arts professor Markus Schaefer,University of Groningen professor Cor Wagenaar, Advanced Urban Design programme director Anastasia Smirnova, and Strelka Institute General Director and Strelka KB partner Varvara Melnikova.

We are glad to continue this tradition by providing talented students enrolling in the Russia’s first urbanism Master’s programme taught in English with an opportunity for free education.”
